We, your hosts, are lifelong Michigan natives and enjoy all the beauty of this state. We love
sharing our home and helping others find a peaceful place to gather, rest, play and create
memories at the lake, at the nearby beaches, golf courses, local farms, towns and colleges. If
you're looking for a place for a gathering or just a restful getaway, our Island Lakehouse is near
enough to do it all and far enough to get away.
Just a 3-hour drive from metro Detroit, 20 minutes from Big Rapids, 30 minutes from Mt
Pleasant and under an hour from Grand Rapids, this is truly central Michigan. The private lake
is right outside of the front door with the enclosed sunroom that overlooks the water, where
you will enjoy morning coffee and quiet time. Nearby sandy beaches provide paces for sun and
play. Golf options include small, easier courses, and Tullymore, a PGA course. For the bigger
water, you can head towards Lake Michigan, and any of the amazing places along the coast.
For dining out, stay local and dine at Antlers restaurant, a destination winery, get a pizza,
barbecue or ice cream under 10 minutes away. If you prefer the more familiar, there are many
of those options as well in nearby towns. Horseback riding is also available nearby as well as
local concerts in the warmer months.
